CAIoT
Cámara Argentina de IoT

The looming new expansion in Internet usage has a specific name: the Internet of Things, or simply IoT (the globally recognized acronym). The Argentine IoT Chamber considers this phenomenon fundamentally important for the future development of the Internet in our country. The Argentine IoT Chamber will serve as a tool to energize the local market for this new industry, identify emerging regulatory and legal issues requiring attention, facilitate connections between the supply of and demand for IoT solutions, enhance understanding of the industry’s various verticals, and foster the dissemination and promotion of IoT as a new engine for Internet growth in Argentina.

Mission, vision, objectives

To establish a representative space for the sector, involving public and private entities—including government bodies, private and public companies, cooperatives, academic institutions, and scientific organizations—interested in the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence; their application in management, technological, and production processes; and their utilization for the benefit of users and the community.

To create a forum for discussion and information exchange regarding products, services, and domestic and foreign applications that contribute to the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence in the Argentine Republic.

Organize events, seminars, symposia, congresses, exhibitions, and workshops on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence, as well as conduct courses, classes, and training sessions covering the technological, technical, commercial, and legal aspects related to the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence.

To enter into agreements, alliances, and all manner of cooperation and exchange mechanisms with national, regional, and international entities—whether public or private—for the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence.

To articulate, promote, and defend the viewpoints and interests of its members and to develop public positions supporting the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (“IoT”) and Artificial Intelligence before national, provincial, and municipal authorities, as well as to represent its members before regional and international bodies—whether public or private—linked to the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (“IoT”) and Artificial Intelligence.

To provide services to its members that facilitate the development, research, and implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence in the Argentine Republic.

Tools to boost the IoT market

The Argentine IoT Chamber promotes the strengthening of IoT projects generated by its members. To this end, it has taken over the IoT Marketplace—originally developed by CABASE starting in 2016—and is continuing those efforts through various tools designed to stimulate the market:

Identify concrete business opportunities that would otherwise lack visibility, and establish agreements with other solution providers both in Argentina and abroad.

We facilitate the matching of supply and demand for solutions in this industry, contributing to their implementation among end customers.

Submissions to authorities. Participation in hearings and consultations.

Conferences, seminars, courses, and all kinds of training and outreach activities.

Social media posts.

Market studies and research.

Cooperation agreements with national and international entities.

Internet of Things – IoT

The Argentine IoT Chamber recognizes that this technology represents the next phase in the expansion of Internet usage—a rapidly growing phenomenon of fundamental importance that will transform the evolution of the Internet in our country.

First, it was the Internet in general that burst into our daily lives with full force. Initially, we had to explain its advantages, uses, and benefits to the end user; now, everyone knows how to use the Internet and what it is for.

With IoT, we see the cycle repeating itself: technologies, applications, and solutions are entering the market, and users need to learn about them in order to adopt them. This is the mission to which the Argentine IoT Chamber is dedicated.

Regulatory and legal aspects

The Argentine IoT Chamber works to identify regulatory and legal issues and keep its members informed of relevant developments; it also seeks to establish channels of communication with regulators, the government, and other stakeholders to foster awareness, planning, and the implementation of initiatives, programs, and potential regulations.
